Jujutsu Kaisen is manga series written by Gege Akutami who has also written smaller one shot titles called Kamishiro Sousa and Nikai Bongai Barabarujura. Jujutsu Kaisen is currently ongoing with 12 volumes released in English so far. It’s a story about Highschool student Yuji Itadori who has immense physical strength. While Yuji could join any of the sports clubs at his school he prefers to be in the Occult Research Club. One day the club finds a sealed cursed object. Later that day Yuji runs into Megumi Fushiguro who is looking for the cursed object. So Yuji takes Megumi to the school and they find out the two other club members undid the seal of the cursed object. This attracts a curse tot he school which has the two club members in danger. Megumi tells Yuji to stay behind and goes in alone. While standing outside Yuji thinks about what his grandfather said to him earlier that day about to help others because of your strength. So we jumps two stories high to help Megumi. While fighting the curse Yuji captured by the curse but to survive he eats the special cursed object the others found earlier. This cursed object is known as Sukunas finger there are 20 of them in the world and Sukuna is known as the most powerful curse to exist. He had to be sealed away in his twenty fingers. When some eats one of his fingers there is a 1 in a million chance you’ll survive and when you survive sukuna will live inside you. Taking that risk Yuji became Sukunas host and took down the curse. This series is trilling, humierous, and can be sad at some points. When I read Jujutsu Kaisen I couldn’t stop and ended up reading the first three volumes that day. Jujutsu Kaisen has also be adapted into an animated series by Mappa Studios with one season and a movie coming out later this year.
