The Barrie Public Library has many exciting programs in store for the holiday season. You will find fun activities for the entire family at all three of our branches throughout December and January, with special programming during the holiday break.

2024 is coming to a close and what a year it has been! We've compiled lists of the top 10 most borrowed items of the year for you to enjoy. 

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, TD Canada Trust recently provided a generous donation to expand our Library of Things collection. This unique collection includes close to 30 items that allow members to discover recreation, wellness, and entertainment items for free without barriers. It also promotes a culture of sustainability, allowing residents to reduce individual consumption by borrowing instead of buying.

Interlibrary Loan services are temporarily unavailable due to the Canada Post strike which began on Friday, November 15. Members can still place requests, but they won't be fulfilled until the strike has ended.
