Get a Library Card
Membership is easy!
If you:
- Live in Barrie or Oro-Medonte you are eligible for a free membership, enter your Barrie or Oro-Medonte postal code below to get a digital membership immediately
- Work, study, own property or a business in Barrie, OR belong to Midland or Orillia Public Library and LIVE in Midland or Orillia, you are eligible for a free membership. Visit us at any location, with your current ID to get your full membership immediately
- If you are not eligible for a free membership, you can purchase a membership. Email us to get your membership started

Types of Memberships
Renew your card
Have a library card but it's expired? We ask all members to renew their cards regularly so we have your current information on your library account. When your renewal is due, we can renew it for you in person at any location. Be sure to bring current and valid identification with you.
You can also send us an email or call 705-728-1010, option #3. Be sure to have your library card number handy.
Identification Requirements
For all memberships we require current and valid Driver's license OR Ontario photo card OR Two pieces of ID (one should have current address)
Additional identification, such as current proof of property/business ownership, employment or school enrolment may also be applicable.
Handwritten and expired documents are not acceptable.

Replacing a Card
Remember that you are responsible for any material borrowed with your library card. If your card is lost or stolen, please report it to library staff as soon as possible by email, phone 705-728-1010, option #3 or in person at any location.
