Computers & Printing

As of June 11, our buildings remain closed to in-library services until Step 2 of the province's Roadmap to Reopening plan. Learn more about services offered during Step 1.

Computers at both branches are available to library cardholders for up to 60 minutes each day. Our public computers have Microsoft Word, Publisher and Excel.

Internet Guest Cards are available for those that only want to use our public computers but don't have a library card. All users must agree to the terms of our Public Internet and Computer Use Policy.

Wi-Fi is available for free throughout and around our buildings during open hours! There is no password – just connect to the Barrie Public Library network and accept the user agreement.

Photocopying, Printing & Scanning

Photocopying and printing is available in black & white or colour at a cost of 20 cents per page.

Scanning to email is also available at both locations.

Wireless & Remote Printing

Print from your own device, within the library or remotely. Printing is available in black & white or colour at a cost of 20 cents per page.

1. Upload the item you want to print using one of the 3 methods below.
The item waits in the library's printing system without being printed.

Web Portal
Upload a file to the ePRINTit Web Portal in your web browser.
Each library branch has a separate portal (see below):
Go to the Downtown print portal
Go to the Painswick print portal

Mobile App
Upload a file from your mobile device using the Public Print Locations app for Android or Apple iOS

Send an email and attached file directly to the printing queue.
See our guide to sending your printing by email.

2. Where do you want to print it?
Choose a library branch. This is where the print job is sent.
Web Portal users will have done this as part of the previous step.

3. How do you want to print it?
Select number of copies, page range, black and white or colour and other settings.
Print settings can only be adjusted in the Web Portal or Public Print Locations mobile app

4. Go get your prints!
Once your file is uploaded, go to the chosen library branch to print the file yourself from a print kiosk. Staff can help with this process
