We're excited to announce the return of our volunteer-led BIG Spring Book Sale taking place from Friday, May 24 to Sunday, May 26 at our Downtown Library. Don’t miss this opportunity to build up your summer reads collection!
Our volunteers have been busy organizing a wide variety gently-used books, CDs, DVDs, magazines, and video games. Bring your own bag or purchase a reusable Library bag for $2. Cash and debit will be available. All proceeds support the advancement of Barrie Public Library services.

Can I donate my pre-loved books?
We will be collecting donations for pre-loved books, magazines, audiobooks, DVDs, CDs, and video games at the Downtown Library Cafe on the following dates:
- Tuesday, May 21, 10am - 2pm
- Wednesday, May 22, 10am - 5pm
- Thursday, May 23, 10am - 5pm
Please note: textbooks and encyclopedias will not be accepted.
