The book “The Silent Patient”  is about a wife whose a famous painter. She shoots her husband whose a fashion photographer and when investigated about it, stays silent and doesn’t answer any questions or talk in general ,she stays very quiet and usually paints and keeps to herself. During her husbands trial she shows no remorse so, people have many questions about the situation and are very confused. There’s also a a therapist who tries to get her to talk about her husbands murder but she doesn’t. Later in the book, he notices that even after a long time since her husbands death, she still doesn’t to people and is very quite. There’s  also her point of view in the book in a journal entry form where it’s said she discusses her thoughts and feelings as well as her trauma as a child and her life in general. I personally thought the book wasn’t very engaging and was also hard to read at the beginning since it didn’t catch my attention ,the ending is said by many people to be surprising and a major plot twist to the whole book, if you’re looking to read a classic thriller then you may not enjoy it. At times it feels like it’s going slow and it can be hard to pay attention if the book doesn’t engage you. It  might not catch your attention at first or it may feel slow but many thriller books are like that to usually build suspense.
