One of us is next by Karen M. McManus

Jasmine, Grade 9

Ever since the first gossip app about Bayview High, there have been many copycats. None of them have come close to Simon. At first when a new copycat app, Truth or Dare, pops up, no one is that interested in it. But after the first round is played, this new copycat becomes as popular as the old old one.P hoebe made the mistake of not choosing.  When it's Maeve's turn, she knows better. By the time Knox is chosen, the dares have gotten dangerous and deadly. If anyone has learned anything from last year, it's that there is no help for the teens of Bayview High. Not when playing games.

A stunning sequel to One of us is lying. A whole new cast is brought to the center stage. The author continues to explore this town and its darkside while capturing the struggle of teenagers. An exciting plot that will keep you guessing till you flip the last page. Told from multiple perspectives, Karen M. McManus brings us a complex and well told story line. This novel is able to stand up to its prequel. I would always recommend this book to my friends and family. A great read interesting to anyone who likes mystery, teenage drama or contemporary reads. I would give this book 4/5.
