The 7 Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is a novel written by Taylor Jenkins Reid. It was published in 2017. The novel shows a story of the fictional  Evelyn Hugo who was an old Hollywood star. Although she was a famous actress, nobody really knew much about her 7 husbands. Everyone was asking the same question, why? Finally, at the age of 79 she decides to give one last final interview. She picks an unknown journalist, Monique Grant, to write about her.
I recently just finished this book, and it was a roller coaster in all good ways. The book is a great, important and significant read, especially in this day and age. It takes you on a journey from the start to end. One thing that I really enjoyed was the extreme detail. Taylor Reid is an amazing author and many people have recommended her books. This book was definitely a great starter and I am excited to read her other books. The detail from start to finish is so well written. I loved the switch in language and the overall feel you get from flipping back and forth through the chapters, especially switching through Evelyn and Monique. The detail in the book makes you feel like you are there in her office. You can visually see and imagine everything. It also comes with lots of emotions for each character and person mentioned in the book. Another thing I enjoyed was the meaning behind it all. It comes unexpectedly and pretty early on in the book. It means a lot to many people. The way Taylor Reids uses detail close-to-perfection to captivate the overall meaning is wonderful.
I would recommend this book to anyone over the age of 12. Anyone who is stucking a reading stump and needs a good refresher, this book is for you. Anyone who loves a good meaningful book that is full in detail, this is also perfect for you.
