Harry Potter and the Chamber of secrets is the sequel to harry potter and the philosophers stone in the 7 book series written by J.K Rowling. The book centers around a boy named Harry living with his abusive parents once again in their house for the summer. This part of the book is always a little difficult to read and may need some parental supervision for younger kids reading the book. Next thing you know Ron is breaking Harry out of his house and they are off on an adventure! The rest of the book is mostly pretty tame and shouldn't be an issue to read for any younger readers wishing to jump into the wizarding world once again. I do think that this book alone is incredible, but when you look at the other books in this series it really casts a shadow over this book and makes it honestly a bit of a forgettable experience. Nothing in the book really stands out compared to the top 4 other books in the series. I do still think that this book is really good and I will give it a 7.3/10 because it is still one of the best books i've ever read. I do think if you are going to read this book you should also take the time to read all the other Harry Potter books. This book is one of the more overlooked books in the series and when you seriously take into account how much more this book is focused towards a younger audience, you can see why the older readers in the community aren't such a big fan of this book, but to a younger audience it may just be the highlight of the series.
