The soundtrack for Spiderman across the spider verse was one of 2023's most popular and talked about hip hop albums in the community. The soundtrack comes from the movie Spiderman across the spider verse that came out in early June. The album is produced by metro boomin and features artists such as swae lee, a$ap rocky, lil wayne and many more. The album has multiple songs that charted on the billboard hot 100 and the album charted on the billboard hot 200. Needless to say, this album has lots of star power behind it, but how good did it actually turn out? I really liked this album because of the production and how all of the artists felt like they were having fun recording their music, however I also think the album was nowhere close to how good the album for into the spider verse was. While all of the artists made some amazing music, I feel as if this album was too slowly paced, and with a little more speed it could have been on par with the predecessor album of into the spiderverse. I would give this album a solid 7.5-8/10 and would recommend the album to anyone who first watched the movie and is between the ages of 12 and 25, however anyone can easily have a great listen with it! My favourite songs were calling and annihilate. I feel as though the album would have benefited if the songs did not mention spider man in them; even though the album is for the movie, the mentions of spider man do take a little bit out of the listening experience when you are listening separately from the movie. Overall, great album!!
