“One of Us is Back” is another amazing mystery/ thriller novel by Karen M. McManus. Filled with multiple plot twists that will leave you turning pages, “One Of Us Is Back” is the third book in the “One Of Us Is Lying" series. A group of friends that call themselves “The Bayview Crew” are once again caught up in a mystery. Someone is playing games again, and they want everyone in Bayview to know it. The group of friends, Bronwyn, Nate, Cooper, Addy, Phoebe, Knox, Maeve, and Louis have a history of getting wrapped up in the mysteries that come along with living in Bayview, but when one of their crew goes missing the stakes are raised. Someone from the crew's past has reappeared along with buried secrets. “One of Us is Back” is one of my favourite mystery novels, along with the other two books in the series. Karen M. McManus is a wonderful mystery writer, she easily captivates the reader's attention with twists and turns that you won’t see coming. This novel is appropriate for ages 12 and up, the main genre is mystery, but there is some romance on the side. I recommend this book to anyone who is in a book slump and can’t find anything interesting to read. The “One of Us is Lying” series is great to get you back into reading with the thrill of a mystery. Of course, anyone who also enjoys a good mystery novel will enjoy reading this book. Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book and couldn’t put it down, it was a page-turner.
