Enola Holmes 2, also directed by Harry Bradbeer (PG-13) is the second movie of the Enola Holmes sequel that I LOVED!!! This movie was my favourite for a looooong time. There were very few things to not like about this movie and the story was not one of them. Millie, yet again did a fantastic job with playing Enola as well as Louis Partridge who played Enola’s sidekick/lover. The chemistry between these two characters felt very genuine and they were really cute together. I loved that this movie drew attention to the fact that being independent shouldn’t mean that you should always be alone and on your own. One of the most memorable lines in this movie for me was when Enola and her mother Eudoria had a little heart-to-heart moment and Eudoria, as the person who knows Enola the best said that “You’ll do well on your own. But with others you could be magnificent.” I also loved that Enola and Sherlock actually got to be siblings for real this time, which I think was one of the best parts of the movie along with the story behind the match factory and the conspiracies of Lord McIntyre and Moriarty (SPOILERS!!!) aka Mira Troy – one other thing is this movie knows how to play with words! They’re just so good that every little thing mattered – and I loved that they left the ending kind of open with her escaping jail. In conclusion, this movie was great! I still love rewatching it after 1.5 years and I cannot wait for the third movie. Definitely a 4.5/5.
