Enola Holmes, a movie directed by Harry Bradbeer (PG-13) is by far one of the best movies I’ve ever watched. This movie had so many plot twists along with very complicated storylines that blew my mind. The acting was quite great and I really enjoyed the underrated sibling dynamic between Enola and Sherlock and thought that all of the actors did a phenomenal job at portraying their characters! Honestly, I truly believe that this movie deserved so much more attention than what it got, considering it’s one of the best movies that came out during Covid and it really never gets old. Whoever thought that casting Millie Bobby Brown to play such an extroverted character with a golden comedic side definitely needs a raise! She was quite literally the star of the movie. Now as for my dislikes about the movie – and there are quite a few – when I first watched the movie I didn’t feel satisfied with how Eudoria, Enola’s mother left her alone for a plan of hers that we never really got to see, but as time went on I realized that it actually isn’t that big of a deal because I think that this was kind of needed so that Enola and Sherlock could form a deeper relationship. Another minor dislike of mine was the character Mycroft Holmes. Sam Clafin did a fantastic job at portraying this character. Although I wished that he could have some sort of character development, him “giving up” Enola and entrusting her to Sherlock counts for something. Overall, this movie is a must-watch for everyone who’s into solving mysteries and a cute little action comedy movie that you can watch with your friends and family. Definitely a 4/5!
