The Unhoneymooners is a romantic comedy novel written by co-authors Christina Lauren. This novel revolves around the known unlucky twin, Olive Torres. During Olive’s sister, Amy’s wedding party, all the guests including the newlyweds got food poisoning except Olive and her long-time enemy, Ethan Thomas. Olive has no choice, but to take this once-in-a-lifetime free honeymoon in Maui for her sister. The downside? She has to go with Ethan, and they have to pretend to be happy and very in love newlyweds. Olive has to find a way to enjoy this vacation without having to interact with Ethan and stay away from him as much as possible as well as keeping their pretend marriage believable. The more these two continue to pretend to be married, the more believable it seems. The novel continues to tell about Olive and Ethan’s so-called pretend marriage adventures with some family drama involved.

This novel was absolutely hilarious. I truly loved the way Ethan and Olive argued about so many little things. The way this novel progressed was excellent, but I thought that it seemed a little rushed towards the last few chapters. I also hated the way that some characters acted, which is honestly a normal reaction considering how the plot is made. This novel was a really great read, and it was hard to put down for the most part. I recommend this to everyone who likes to read romance comedy because this book was terrific. However, I would say to definitely expect a little disappointment when it comes to Olive’s life.
