The Barrie Public Library's third annual BIG Spring Book Sale was a huge success, raising a total of $4,200 for the library's Creative Spaces.

The Barrie Public Library is thrilled to announce the return of our BIG Spring Book Sale taking place Friday, May 23 to Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the Downtown Library.

We are thrilled to welcome internationally acclaimed Canadian author Nita Prose for a special in-person event on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the Georgian Theatre in Barrie.

Did you know May is celebrated as Jewish Heritage Month in Canada? A unanimous bill was passed by Parliament in 2018 to mark Canadian Jewish Heritage Month in May across Canada.
