The holiday break is upon us and if you're trying to find fun activities for the entire family, look no further than the Barrie Public Library! From dance parties and movies nights to visits from Mabel Moon and Zootek, you definitely won't be hearing any complaints of "I'm booooored!"
The fun kicks off on December 28th with a family-friendly dance party at Holly Community Library. Bust out your favourite moves and dance away 2022! The good times continue to roll later that week when Mabel Moon visits the library. She'll be stopping by Painswick Branch from 11am-12pm on December 29, before taking her antics to the Downtown Library on December 30.

January Jungle
Roar in to 2023 with all sorts of jungle-themed fun at the library! Caregivers and little ones are welcome to join us at Holly Branch on January 2 for our Safari Party from 9:30-11am. The a-MAZE-ment continues at the Downtown Library later that day at the Sphero Safari, where school-aged kids can visit the Tinker Lab and drive our Sphero Robots around a maze.
Zootek is back! Get ready to be awed and amazed while you learn about all sorts of curious creatures. Zootek will be visiting the Downtown Library on January 3 from 10-11am and Painswick Branch on January 4 from 10-11am. Free tickets will be available 30 minutes prior to the start of the program on a first-come, first-serve basis. Strollers are not allowed in program space, and children must be accompanied by a caregiver.
Puzzle lovers, head to the Downtown Library on January 5 and experience a Wild Escape Room. Escape rooms are 20 minutes in duration with 10 participants per session.
Discover a world of possibilities with robotics as the Code Ninjas teach us how to unleash our inner Ninja on January 7th from 2:30-3:30 PM at the Downtown Library. This program is recommended for kids ages 7-9.
