One of the most popular team-based shooters in the world, Overwatch allows players to take on the role of one of a cast of diverse heroes as they battle against one another for supremacy. Tactics and twitch reflexes combine in this action game to deliver lightning-fast six on six combat that not only requires players to understand the functions of their own heroes but to cooperate with one another to achieve objectives and score wins over dedicated teams of other human players.

Overwatch is definitely my all time favourite game, the fast gameplay and wide selection of heroes to choose from always keeps the game interesting and fun!

Every hero has their own interesting and meaningful backstory that has lead them to being part of overwatch. All heroes have different abilities, strengths, weaknesses and Ultimates or “ults”. An ultimate is unique to each character and can be used by filling up your ultimate meter, you can do this by killing other players and capturing objectives, once your meter is full your ultimate is ready to be used. Like I stated before each ultimate is different and unique to each character, some are used to help heal your team while others are used to kill or stun players on the opposite team.

There are 2 different types of objectives in classic quick play and competitive play.

The first is “payload” first your team must be in the objective area long enough without any players of the opposite team entering to unlock or release the payload, to move or “push” the payload you must have one or more of your teammates touching it and none of the players of the opposite team touching it, if a player on the opposite team touches the play load it will stop until they are off. The objective is to push the payload through the map in a certain amount of time to secure a win. If you fail to successfully get the payload to the end of the map your team will not get a point and will lose, unless you are playing competitive, in competitive play there are 3 rounds and the best 2 out of 3 wins while in quick play it is just one round.

The second is quite similar to payload in the aspect that you must have 1 or more people from your team in an objective area to secure and capture it. Once the area is captured another area will be unlocked for your team to attack, this area is usually much closer to the opposite teams spawn area thus making it a little harder to capture. If you successfully capture both areas your team will receive and point and win that round.

I recommend this game to people of all ages because it is very child and user friendly, fun and simple to play and understand and has lots of fun game modes and events to play and participate in.
