Reminders of Him is a book by Colleen Hoover which was recently published on January 18th, 2022. Reminders of Him is about a girl named Kenna Rowan, who due to an unfortunate incident gets sentenced to 5 years of prison. She loses custody over her daughter and upon her release she proceeds to go back to the town where her life was turned upside down. When she goes back, Kenna is hated almost by her entire town over the incident that happened. The only person who somewhat left a door open for her was Ledger Ward which is one of the links to get back her daughter. Slowly sparks start to form between the two but something keeps holding them back. Overall, the plot of the story wasn’t bad, and you truly feel the pain Kenna goes through. When you also find out about the incident, it’s really heartbreaking because she had to handle everything on her own. To say this book was a roller coaster of emotions was definitely understandable. When you find out what the incident was, your heart truly breaks for all the characters involved. The only part I didn’t like was the romance. I feel like it could’ve been written better or not be included in the story line at all. I would’ve liked the story better if it was about Kenna’s journey to finding her daughter, her character development and why she truly went to prison.
