The Deal is a romance novel written by Elle Kennedy, which is the first novel of the Off-Campus series. It follows Hannah through her first year of college. Hannah meets Garrett, a hockey player, when he asks Hannah to tutor him. Hannah is very reluctant, but she strikes a deal with. They decide to fake date, so Hannah can get her crush to notice her.
This is a classic good girl meets bad boy novel. It is a fast read. I read this novel in a single sitting. I absolutely love Elle Kennedy’s writing; there was never a dull moment in this novel. The chemistry between all the character is exquisite. You feel as though you are in the friend group. That’s why right after reading this novel, I dived into the sequel. I gave this novel a 4 out 5 stars because it was really good, but at times, I wished it was a little slower. Overall, I highly recommend.
I would recommend this novel to anyone who loves romance novels, especially people who loves good girl meets bad boy and college romance novels. I would also recommend this to people who are reluctant to read a romance novel. This novel could really change your mind.
