Beverly Hills 90210

Season 2, 1991

Directed By: Various Directors

Alyssa, Grade 12

5/5

After the introduction to some of our favourite characters in season one, season two of Beverly Hills 90210 follows the same characters with new issues to solve. From Brandon meeting many new girls and even falling for a few of them, to the continuation of the blossoming love between Brenda and Dylan, the love connections become more complicated this season as the episodes progress. The beginning of this season is set over the summer break, as Brandon is still working at the beach club, and Brenda is still trying to win over her parents’ approval of her relationship with Dylan. Over the summer they do things such as camping and going on trips, but will these trips be as perfect as they planned them out to be? Halfway through the season, they go back to school, which includes a possible new love interest for Brandon and a shocking twist with Andrea. The school year is quite bumpy, which introduces the question; does everything stay the same? With new people introduced and many shocking twists and turns, this makes for a very eventful season, leaving you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next.

In my opinion, Beverly Hills 90210: Season 2 is just as great, if not better than the first season. There is always something going on in each episode that you would not expect to see happening. This show is full of humour and plenty of romance. 90210 has a rating of TV-PG, but I would suggest 13+, as there are many sexual references throughout the series.
