Barrie Winterfest is quickly approaching! The first weekend of February (2nd & 3rd) will be filled with fun events for the whole family.
Join us for:

Nookmis Learning Circle: Learn traditional stories and songs shared in the Ojibway language by Ernestine Baldwin, nookmis (Elder) of the Barrie Native Friendship Centre.

February Blues Festival: Enjoy the beautiful sounds of The Bernie Senensky Duo and Dave Young as they perform live!
Downtown | Feb. 2 | 2-4pm

Theland Kicknosway - Indigenous Hoop Dance: 15 year old, singer and grass and hoop dancer, who helps in ceremonies throughout Ontario, enjoys offering his gifts of song/dance/voice for audiences of all ages. Join us as he performs for the BPL community!

Jennifer Podemski - Winterfest Indigenous Speaker Series: A storyteller behind and in front of the camera, listen as Jennifer shares the story of her professional career, with advice on developing acting demos and producer's reels. Then watch an exclusive rough cut screening from Future History followed by a Talk Back Session where you can ask questions and learn more from this talented producer and actor.
