Each January, Canadians celebrate Alzheimer’s Awareness Month. During this month, the Alzheimer Society of Canada encourages you to learn more about dementia and its impact on Canadians. This year’s theme is that the Alzheimer Society is the first place to turn for support, community, knowledge, and expertise. The Barrie Public Library supports Alzheimer’s awareness through sharing stories and providing resources to those in need of cognitive support.
