October is Canadian Library Month, and October 20 - 26 is Ontario Public Library Week!
During this month, libraries and library partners across Canada raise awareness of the valuable role libraries play in the lives of people in Canada. More than just a place to find books, libraries promote cultural awareness, engage in the community, provide educational programs, support freedom of expression, and so much more.
Learn about what we have going on for this special month, and what you can do to support your library.
Programs and Events
Each month we have a huge variety of in-person and online programs for all ages. The best part? They're all free! From early literacy programs for kids, to DIY and maker workshops, tech help, Mahjong meet-ups, book clubs, and more - there's something for everyone.
Check out our Events Calendar.
Community Outreach
Find us in the community during Ontario Public Library Week spreading the word about how awesome we are (although not very modest)! We'll be at Georgian Mall on October 24 from 10:00 to 11:00 am for a special storytime. Join us by the fire to read, play and learn together.
