For the plot the book is about a girl named Callie who is in acting class when she likes a boy in the same class but finds out he is gay.During this book the main character Callie deals with tween hardship, including confusing crushes,buddy friendships and to top it all of middle school drama. She also is helping out with helping out with the drama club as the set designer and at the end of the book she becomes the stage manager which means that she facilitates communication across all of the communicative and technical departments; some of their duties include; to oversee sets, props,lights,and sound;they also call all technical cues during the actors performances. The characters in this book are; Callie,Greg Matt's older brother, Matt Greg's older brother, Bonnie Greg's on-and-off again girlfriend,Liz: Callies Bff ,Justin: The amazing singer and theater his father allows him to pursue theater,Jesse: modest, father expects him to be an obedient son and makes him study a lot. My opinion of this graphic novel is that I think it is a great book especially for teens as it goes through the hardships that young teens today might have to deal with such as friendship struggles and having your first crush. I enjoyed this book. I think the people that might like this book would be middle school girls ages 10 and up. Yes, I would recommend this book. The reason why I would recommend this book to others is because it was very interesting and it also had great characters!
