Exciting news! The City of Barrie's Official Town Crier, Steve Travers, will be hosting two FREE historic walking tours! The first will take place Saturday, March 5 at 4pm, and the second will be on Sunday, March 13 at 1pm. Join Steve at Meridian Place by the War Memorial next to Fred Grant Street.

The tour, called "Victorian Barrie Heroes, Heroines Rogues, and Scoundrels, lasts 1 hour and covers just two blocks of downtown Barrie, ending near the Simcoe County Gaol.

Learn of Pioneer Barrie people and their lives here in Barrie in the early 1800's, as well as the criminal fraternity and their punishments in jail.
