It's Canadian Library Month! All month long, libraries and library partners across Canada are raising awareness of the valuable role libraries play in Canadians’ lives. The theme this year is Libraries for Life.
More than a place to find amazing books, libraries promote cultural awareness, engage in the community, provide educational programs, support freedom of expression, and so much more.
Share the Library Love
Take part in our Share the Library Love contest this October for a chance to win an ASUS Chromebook, $50 Amazon gift card, or one of three BPL swag bags!
How it works:
Library members are invited to visit any of our three locations to pick up a flyer. Each flyer has three (3) tear-off cards that you can give to friends and family - just make sure you fill out your contact information on the backs of the cards first! When they bring it in to sign up for a library card, they'll get a free piece of BPL swag and YOU will get entered into the draw. They'll also get their own flyer so they can share the library love and get in on the prize draws too.
Prize draws will take place during the week of November 13, so make sure you Share the Library Love before then!
How else can you support the library?
- Become a Member (and encourage your friends and family to join too!)
- Share and like our posts on social media to help spread the word (links at the bottom of each email)
- Donate to our Future Branches campaign
- Sign up to volunteer with the library
- Visit our three locations, borrow from our collection, attend our events, and use our many library services!
