Every day we are fortunate to learn how the library impacts our patrons’ lives through program and service delivery, increased access points, inclusion and over all patron satisfaction. These stories always put a smile on our staff’s faces and encourage us to do more for our community. Earlier this summer, we had the opportunity to meet with our friends from Tim Hortons and hear more about why they choose to support the Library year after year through their long-time commitment as the presenting sponsor of our annual Barrie Dragon Boat Festival. In this video, hear how a local Tim Hortons restaurant owner shares his memories of visiting the library, taking part in programs and how the library is not only more than just books but a place for everyone to discover the endless opportunities for sharing, learning and self discovery.
The 19th annual Barrie Dragon Boat Festival will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Heritage Park! Races will take place on Barrie's Kempenfelt Bay. For more information, including how to take part, click here
