Nancy Drew is this bright, kind, and clever young lady of 18 years who loves solving mysteries in and around her community. She currently lives with her father (Carson Drew) who happens to be a lawyer and solves criminal cases and she also lives with her CareTaker (Hannah Gruen) since her mother sadly passed away when she was only three years old. Nancy usually solves mysteries that her friends and family need help with. Before her journey commenced, Nancy Drew loved helping her father with his cases he has been assigned, from time to time. Her first mystery was “The Secret of the Old Clock” and ever since, she has had the great opportunity to continue and resolve other secrets, other people need help with. This current puzzle that Nancy Drew is solving is about a horse-shaped ghost roaming the Shadow Ranch property in Phoenix, Arizona. Not only does Nancy have to get to the bottom of this ghostlike figure, but she has to solve the mystery of the intruder who causes physical damage to the old ranch. Everyone in this community firmly believes that this shadowy figure is Dirk Valentine (a man who was in love, who happened to be killed a long time ago.) Nancy Drew, George Fayne and Bess Marvin work together to find a secret treasure which lies within the walls of Shadow Ranch, which was planted by Dirk himself. Nancy and her friends are required to solve riddles along the way, face obstacles in their way and get to the bottom of this story. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves mystery, action, adventure and clue-solving. I really enjoyed reading this book. I would definitely rate this plot a 5/5!
