As spring approaches, it is time to dig out your gardening supplies and start planting! We’ve got upcoming programs and resources to help you in your garden. Check them out below.  

Seedy Saturday  

Join us for Seedy Saturday on March 2nd and dive into the wonderful world of gardening. At this family-friendly event, you will have the chance to participate in fun learning activities related to gardening, nature, and foraging. You will also have the chance to talk to local garden experts on how to grow your garden.  

Activities for kids include: 

  • Seedy Saturday Storytime from 10am to 10:30am  
  • Kids seed craft, treasure hunt, garden kitchen, and farm box ‘planting’ from 10am to 1pm 

Learn from garden experts at our Interactive Garden Expo featuring:  

Library staff will also be hosting Test your ‘green thumb’ garden skills trivia throughout the Interactive Garden Expo.

 Adult Gardening Kits and Junior Gardening Kits

Gardening Kits  

We’ve got Gardening Kits in our Library of Things Collection to help you with your gardening activities. Gardening Kits are available for everyone of all ages. We have Junior and Adult Kits to include your little ones in the gardening fun.  

Our Adult Gardening Kits include a gardening tool tote, knee pads, beginner gardener book, and basic tools such as trowel, cultivator, transplanter, pruner, and weeder. Our Junior Gardening Kits come with a gardening tool tote, gardening apron, watering can, native plant Identification sheet, and basic tools such as a trowel, fork, rake, and shovel.  

Place a Gardening Kit on hold and choose to pick them up at any library location to get started.
