Human Services Navigator
Barrie Public Library has partnered with CFS Counselling and Wellbeing to offer social services in our library spaces. Ayesha Karim-Mian is our Human Services Navigator and she can be found at the Downtown library five days a week. The Human Services Navigator works with individuals experiencing societal issues such as homelessness or precarious housing, food insecurity, poverty, unemployment, mental health crises, and addictions. She can provide information, support, direct referrals, and advocacy to assist anyone in need. Ayesha is available by drop-in or appointment.
Downtown
- Drop-in hours are between 10:00-12:00, from Monday to Thursday
- Appointments can be made for other times during the weekdays by contacting Ayesha at 705-230-6014
- She is also available on the following Saturdays from 10:00 – 5:00: June 21, July 19, August 16, September 20, October 11, November 8, and December 6
