Rating 3/5
Insidious 3 is a prequel to the first and second Insidious movie. In this film it tells of a girl who has just lost someone close to her, so she tried to call out that person and something evil responded instead. The girl was injured and wasn't able to walk and at night he felt like someone was watching her, and then a figure kept appearing in her room and throwing her around. They called in a professional to help them but didn't want to help saying she retired. After a spook at home she agreed to help the girl. She helped the girl and decided to go back to work and help people.
I thought it was an ok horror movie, there were times I was nervous but in my opinion not that scary. There were a few times in the film where I had a hard time following what was happening, but in the end it didn't seem to really matter to enjoy the movie. The movie did have really good silent scenes where tension would really bild. There were a few scenes that didn't need to be in the movie and didn't really have a reason to be in the movie. There are jump scares in the movie but only a few and are not really terrifying.
This feels like it is a better movie to watch with friends, it is scary but not terrifying. I would recommend that people watch the full series of Insidious before watching this one, if not there are some things that might not make any sense if you don't. I would recommend this movie to people who are looking for a horror series to watch.
