Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is the fourth and final installment in Nathan Drake’s Uncharted story. The game was developed by Naughty Dog: a company well known for making other great games such as Uncharted 1-3 and The Last of Us. The uncharted games contain elements of exploration, adventure, puzzle solving, and action. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End successfully lives up to the expectations that were brought by its predecessors. From steep cliff sides to overgrown ruins, this game has some of the best visuals in gaming. This is complemented by its next gen graphics, as it is the first game in the series to originate on the Playstation 4. The intense firefights are seamlessly transitioned into cutscenes which are then transitioned into quick-time events. The game lets the player decide whether they want to take out a group of enemies with stealth or by attacking them head on. The story of this game is very engaging and keeps the player on the edge of their seat. Nathan Drake (voice acted by Nolan North), and his brother Sam Drake (voice acted by Troy Baker), work very well together as characters and their relationship seems genuine and relatable. The only real issue I have with this game is the pacing. There are many flashbacks to different time periods in Nathan Drake’s life which gets a little bit annoying and takes away from the main plot. In conclusion, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is a great game, and a fitting end to Nathan Drake’s story. I give this game a 4.5/5.
