DAISY Disc Player

DAISY Disc Player

The DAISY Disc Player is a user-friendly audio player for structured and efficient playback navigation for those impacted by low-vision or blindness.

Enjoy audiobooks stress-free and take control of your reading through this device that features large, tactile, high-contrast keys, a built-in speaker and headphone jack, and self-voicing controls.

Make use of the library's collection of DAISY Discs that are supported by the DAISY Player.  Note: Patrons need either self-declare and be registered with the Centre for Equitable Library Access (CELA) or have a current CNIB card to borrow material this collection.

CELA has notified libraries that they will no longer be producing new materials on DAISY Discs after July 31, 2025.
Barrie Public Library will continue to house our existing DAISY Disc collection after that deadline.
For more information regarding their transition, please see the CELA website.
