Online Membership

You are eligible for a free library membership if you:

  • LIVE in Barrie or Oro-Medonte
  • WORK or STUDY in Barrie
  • OWN property or a business in Barrie
  • BELONG to Midland or Orillia Public Library and LIVE in Midland or Orillia 

The library is currently closed due to COVID-19, but you can use your library card to access our Digital Library. Borrow e-books and e-audiobooks, stream movies, TV shows and music, access online learning courses and brush up on your language skills (among many other things!) 

When we reopen, bring current name and address identification to continue your membership. Additional identification may be required for some membership types.

Have a library card but it's expired? We can renew it for you! Send us an email or call 705-728-1010, option 3#. Be sure to have your name and library card number handy.

Those who live outside of Barrie but work or go to school in the city are eligible for a library card. Please check the applicable box.
