Today is Giving Tuesday! Join the movement to help create a wave of generosity right here in Barrie.

Our Painswick location will have a delayed opening on Wednesday, November 22 for the City of Barrie to complete an HVAC replacement at Painswick and water main work for condo construction on Dean Ave. We will be opening at 2pm.

Mark your calendars! Our Local Author Book Market is coming back to our Painswick library on Saturday, December 9. Check out over 40 local authors, all here to sell and sign their books! 

A wonderful new read-along experience that kids of all ages will enjoy has arrived at Barrie Public Library! 

In 2016, Ontario passed the first legislation of its kind in Canada declaring the first week of November as Treaties Recognition Week. This year Treaties Recognition Week is November 6-12, 2023.
