Getting a library card is easy and can save you thousands of dollars a year. It allows you to borrow books, movies, musical instruments and TV shows for free, as well as access online learning and use our Digital Library. We’re expanding memberships at no charge to students enrolled in all Barrie schools and individuals who work in Barrie.

Barrie Public Library appoints new CEO

The Barrie Public Library board is pleased to announce that Lauren Jessop has been selected as the Library’s new Chief Executive Officer. Lauren joined the Barrie Public Library in December 2016 as the Director of Customer Experience, and has been serving as Acting co-CEO since March.
