Outdoor spaces are the places to be this summer, and the library is moving beyond our walls to meet our community in beautiful Barrie. Find us as we travel to different parks and community centers around Barrie to celebrate our Summer Reading Club.

The Barrie Public Library invites you to paddle into some unique programming with them this August! The Library will be celebrating a virtual Dragon Boat Month presented by Tim Hortons in honour of its annual Dragon Boat Festival...

The Province entered into Step 3 of the Roadmap to Reopening Plan on Friday, July 16. Both locations are open for in-person services, with some restrictions. Our capacity has increased to 100 Downtown and 50 at Painswick, and we are now able to offer limited in-person programming. 

This summer we have some amazing programs to help you immerse yourself in Simcoe Reads 2021, including a Simcoe Reads Author Talk series where we'll meet the authors of the books chosen for this year’s competition!
