September 30th is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation to honour First Nations, Inuit, and Métis survivors and their families and communities, and ensure the public commemoration of their history and the legacy of residential schools.

Saturday, August 20 marked the return of the 18^th annual Barrie Dragon Boat Festival hosted by the Barrie Public Library and presented by Tim Hortons!

Join us for the Grand Opening of our Holly Community Library! After opening on August 5, we have been overwhelmed by the positive response from our community. Let's celebrate together on Saturday, September 10 from 11am - 2pm. 

The Downtown Library landscape project requires the library building to be closed Monday, August 29 to Wednesday, August 31. During this time, we will offer Express Pick-up and other curbside services at the delivery door, accessible from the McDonald Street parking lot, between 10am and 6pm.
