Back by popular demand, Barrie Public Library and Tim Hortons have teamed up once again to bring back our annual Little Paddlers Colouring Contest in honour of our upcoming Dragon Boat Festival!

The American Library Association announced on Tuesday that the Barrie Public Library (BPL) has won a 2024 John Cotton Dana Library Public Relations Award for marketing and public relations excellence. We received this award for our 2023 membership drive, an organization-wide campaign with the goal of welcoming 10,000 new members by the end of 2023. 

It’s that time again book lovers! We are excited to launch Simcoe Reads 2024, a cover-to-cover fun-filled competition for adults with six local libraries

Love getting crafty in our Downtown Library’s Creative Spaces? It’s going to look a little different beginning this week! 

The Summer Reading Club (SRC) has officially launched at the Barrie Public Library! The library has many activities, programs, and reading challenges planned every day this summer. Kids ages 3-12 and teens can join the fun starting July 2.
