cloudLibrary users are currently unable to read eBooks in a web browser.

Both Barrie Public Library locations remain open to browse our collections, access computers and printers, and to book spaces for studying and working. You can also print your vaccination receipt for free at either location (lamination services are not available). We do NOT have rapid tests available for distribution. 

myBPL, our online library catalogue, will be receiving scheduled maintenance on Sunday 21 February, 2021 from 8am-10am EST.

Between 8am and 10am on Sunday 31 January, myBPL, our online catalogue, may be unavailable as scheduled maintenance is performed.

Beginning Monday July 27, Express Service at both locations will be expanded to offer Contactless Pick Up of item holds in the library entrance areas.  Our staff are ready to welcome our community and provide individualized service to help select requested books and materials, assist in placing holds or in accessing our digital library. Computer stations can be booked, on a first-come, first served basis for 30 minute sessions. Express Service is offered during select hours, 7 days a week with our outdoor return slots open 24/7.
