Freedom to Read Week is an annual event that celebrations freedom of expression and challenges censorship. This year it takes place from February 25 to March 3 across Canada.

We are celebrating the week with a Books 4 Tats Readers' Advisory program. Behind every tattoo is a story. We also believe there's a story for every tattoo! Come in to the library and pick out a temporary tattoo, and library staff will suggested a banned book based on your choice.

Can't make it into the library? Join in on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram on Wednesday, February 28 from 10am - 4pm. Share a G-rated photo of your tattoo with us and we'll recommend a banned book based on your ink! #FTRWeek #books4tats
