Each October, Canadians celebrate Dyslexia Awareness Month. This year’s theme is #StrongerTogether, and it intends to inspire young people across Canada to be proud that they are #PoweredByDyslexia as well as to provide a platform for young voices to be heard. Helping to empower these voices will allow those with dyslexia to learn how to self-advocate for their educational needs.

Decodable Books
Decodable books are written in a way that allows children to practice these phonic skills, creating vital connections between letters and sounds. We have a large selection of decodable books at the library, and are creating a new Featured Collection so they are easy to find. And thanks to a $500 grant from International Dyslexia Association Ontario (IDA) our collection will be growing!
