Tour the Universe with The Ontario Planetarium
Wednesday, January 3, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm (Painswick Branch)
Thursday, January 4, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm (Downtown Branch)
Enjoy a tour of stars, comets, galaxies, meteor showers and the Northern Lights, among other sights, inside the Ontario Planetarium's mobile dome! Explore the solar system by orbiting the planets and then journey all the way to the outer rim of the Milky Way. All ages. Register by calling 705-728-1010 ext. 7020. 

Circle of Readers
Tuesdays, January 16 - February 20, 6:30 - 7:30 pm (Painswick Branch)
Wednesdays, January 17 - February 21, 6:30 - 7:30 pm (Downtown Branch)
Circle of Readers promotes a love of reading and self-esteem. This program is aimed at building the reading skills or children in Grades 2-5. Under the supervision of library staff, participants read with a volunteer for the first part of the hour. The second part of the program involves a group activity and finally everyone comes together for a reading circle. We all work together as a group to read a certain number of books, and when we reach our goal we celebrate! Register by calling 705-728-1010 ext. 7020 or online:

Learn to 3D Print
Saturdays, January 13 and February 10, 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. (Downtown Branch)
Learn how 3D printing is used in everyday life and then design and print your own object using 3D design apps. As a 3D printing job can take several hours, participants will design objects that will be printed later and can be picked up after the program. Ages 8-12. The Power of Positive Parenting
Tuesday, February 6, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. (Downtown Branch)
This seminar will provide an introduction to the principles of positive parenting. Learn about 5 key principles of positive parenting which can help your children develop skills, do better at school, build friendships, and feel good about themselves. Facilitated by a public health nurse from the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit. Register online or by calling 705-728-1010 ext. 7020.
