On Friday, April 16, the province announced an extended Stay-at-Home Order and stricter measures. Both Barrie Public Library buildings will remain closed to in-person visits. However, patrons will continue to be able to pick-up holds at the front entrances on a drop-in basis or by scheduling an Express Pick-up appointment.

Returns will be accepted at both outdoor return slots 24/7.
Virtual programming and virtual coaching sessions will continue and our Digital Library is always open. We’ve also introduced new wireless and remote printing, allowing patrons the ability to send a print job from home and pick it up the same day at the library for the cost of $0.20 per sheet.

Picking up Holds
Picking up your reserved items is as easy as 1-2-3!
- Visit our online catalogue myBPL to browse or search for items to place on hold.
- When your item(s) are ready you will be notified by your chosen contact method (text message or email). You then have 7 days to schedule an Express Pick-up appointment or drop-in to pick-up your items.
- Have your library card handy when you pick-up your items at your pick-up location!
