On Friday, April 16, the province announced an extended Stay-at-Home Order and stricter measures. Both Barrie Public Library buildings will remain closed to in-person visits. However, patrons will continue to be able to pick-up holds at the front entrances on a drop-in basis or by scheduling an Express Pick-up appointment.

Available Services

During this time both Barrie Public Library buildings will be closed to in-person visits. However, patrons will be able to pick-up holds at the front entrances on a drop-in basis or by scheduling an Express Pick-up appointment.

Returns will be accepted at both outdoor return slots 24/7.

Virtual programming and virtual coaching sessions will continue and our Digital Library is always open. We’ve also introduced new wireless and remote printing, allowing patrons the ability to send a print job from home and pick it up the same day at the library for the cost of $0.20 per sheet.
