We are excited to be reopening our spaces on Wednesday, March 10, with services that align with the Red – Control zone of the provincial framework.

All services will be available when we reopen, with some restrictions. Patrons will be welcome to browse collections, access computers and printers, book spaces for studying and working, and join in online programs and coaching sessions. Curbside services will also be continued.

“We introduced our Express Pick-up service last summer, where patrons can either drop-in or book an appointment to pick up their holds,” said Lauren Jessop, CEO of the Barrie Public Library. “It’s been very popular with our members and is something we’ll be continuing for the foreseeable future. We want to make the library experience as accessible and convenient as possible.”

Stay Safe Guidelines
Those visiting the library must follow public health guidelines, including wearing a face covering, staying 2m from others, sanitizing or washing hands, and staying home if sick. Contact tracing and a screening questionnaire must be completed before entering the buildings. There will be a maximum of 50 patrons at a time, and visits should be limited to 60 minutes or less.

For more information on our services available, call 705-728-1010, email AskUs@barrielibrary.ca, or visit our Services page.
