Exciting news! We are expanding our service on June 29, offering Express Service during select hours, seven days a week at both library locations.
Library members can request books and movies online at barrielibrary.ca or call 705-728-1010, wait for their notification, then pick up their materials during Express Service hours. Our outdoor return slots will also be reopening for returning material 24/7.
Express Service hours will be the same for both Downtown and Painswick locations. Staff will be available to answer questions, provide recommendations and fulfill requests.
- Monday 10am-4pm
- Tuesday to Thursday 1-7pm
- Friday 10am-4pm
- Saturday and Sunday 12-5pm
“We are thrilled with the response to our Downtown Curbside Service” said Lauren Jessop, CEO of the Barrie Public Library. “Our Painswick community has been eagerly waiting for service to resume in their neighbourhood, and our staff are equally as excited to see our members in person.”
We will also be offering four Express Computers at both locations, available on a first-come, first-served basis for 30-minute sessions. Computer stations will be sanitized between each session.
The entrance areas of both Library locations will be open for pick-ups and Express Computer access. However use of the facility, including washrooms, will remain closed to the public in accordance with the provincial guidelines for Re-opening Ontario.
