Login: You need a library card to login remotely. Create an account to save your searches. The guest login doesn’t allow for saving and may have reached maximum exports/downloads for the day/week/month.
Devices: Can be viewed in a web browser. It is recommended to use a laptop or desktop computer.
SimplyAnalytics Features
SimpyAnalytics has the data you need to answer key research questions, make sound business decisions and understand the socio-demographic and economic conditions of any area in Canada. Create professional maps and reports with just a few clicks, then assign and name projects to organize your work. Quickly create ‘Top 10/50/100’ rankings using any location and data variable to determine potential areas you could target. Add business locations to your map, or create a business report to view details on more than 22 million businesses, such as contact information, number of employees and annual sales volume.
Now includes COVID-19 Outbreak - Canada 2020 data. This includes confirmed cases, testing and deaths by month. Data is broken down by total number and prevalence (per 100,000 individuals).
Where does the research come from?
Data providers for SimplyAnalytics are: Environics Analytics Group, Inc., the premier marketing and analytical services company in Canada; Statistics Canada’s Canadian Census and Canadian Survey of Household Spending; The Dun & Bradstreet Directory of Canadian Businesses data is used for the business information and is updated monthly. Businesses without an address are not included in the directory.
Exporting & Downloading
Spreadsheets and maps are saved automatically when signed in using a personal SimplyAnalytics account, and can be downloaded or emailed. Export maps as high-resolution images or shapefiles, and export reports as Excel, CSV, or DBF files. The export process allows you to adjust the look and size of the downloaded page.
There are limits as to how many spreadsheet cells you can download for variable data (information about individuals & their purchasing habits) per week and month and how many businesses you can export per export, week and year. There are no download limits for maps.
