Let the library help you learn from home! We have online resources aimed at our younger learners as well as those in middle school or high school. We have many helpful online resources to supplement those provided by the Ontario Government.

You will need a library account to use these resources. Apply for a free card here.

BrainFuse HelpNow: All Ages

BrainFuse connects people who want to learn with experts who love to teach. Live online tutoring for Kindergarten up to Post-Secondary; Adult Learner resources and more. 

PebbleGo (JK-3)

Fact-based titles for Pre- Kindergarten to Grade 3. Learn about Animals, Biographies, Science, Social Studies, Dinosaurs and more through text, audio, videos, and activities.

Primary Search (Elementary/Middle School)

A full-text database providing popular children's magazines, easy-to-read encyclopedic entries and related images.

Gale eBooks – Kids (Middle School)

Full-text reference and encyclopedia e-books to help younger students with research and homework assignments.

  • Devices: Can be read in a web browser. Chapters and pages can be downloaded and printed.

Canadian Points of View (Middle/High School)

Analyses of current issues in the news. Includes essays, radio transcripts, and magazine and newspaper articles that present both sides of hot topics and important issues. A great resource for critical thinking! 

EBSCO Explora  (High School)

Full-text articles from books, magazines, journal articles, news, biographies and other sources. Explore current events, history, health and more. Includes lesson plans and Ontario curriculum standards.

Curio (All Ages)

Video and audio content from CBC and Radio-Canada including educational documentaries, news articles, podcasts, BBC content, National Geographic shows and more. Includes curricula and teacher guides in their Resources section.
