Effective March 14, 2020 - Both the Downtown and Painswick locations of the Barrie Public Library will be closed until further notice out of an abundance of caution due to COVID-19.
In addition to the closure of both locations:
- All due dates from March 12th and beyond have been extended to April 15, 2020 and customers are encouraged to keep materials until the Library reopens.
- Holds pick up will be extended to April 15, 2020.
- Fines will not accumulate from March 14th until we reopen.
- Library cards that expired between March 1, 2020 and July 10, 2020 have been extended to July 10, 2020. We encourage you to access our Digital Library while our physical locations are closed.
- Visiting Library Service deliveries are canceled until further notice.
Note that the dates listed above may be extended as new information arrives.
