On Thursday, September 25, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) announced that they were launching a national strike, effectively shutting down Canada Post operations across the country.
InterLibrary Loans will be suspended for the duration of the strike. Patrons are welcome to continue submitting their requests through staff, but we are not able to send the requests out to the other libraries in Ontario to fulfill those requests. Once the strike is resolved and we are able to resume ILLO services, there will be a back log to work through and patrons will likely have a longer than usual wait to have their requests processed.
